We left Canon City about 10 AM. We were going to try to go the the Holy Cross Abby Winery, but we forgot it was Sun. So off we went to Colorado Springs. We were able to take a senic byway and it was beautiful.

After we checked in we went downtown Manitou Springs (which is right around the corner) for lunch. We went to a cute little place called Adam's Mountain Cafe. After looking over the menu (and realizing that I probable wouldn't eat any of the nuts and twigs they offered) we left and found Charlie's Bar-B-Que! Yea... The food was AWESOME!! While we were eating it be
gan snowing!! It kept snowing, so we decided to go back our "house." After a couple of hours this is what everything looked like!
The snow was great! We relaxed by the fireplace, put together a puzzle, played Dominoes and of course watched NASCAR!!
One of the nicest things is there is only 2 other people in the house. They are 2 retired teachers and one of them use to live in Lubbock and even attended Hutch! What a small world.
Today looks like it will be clearer, so hopefully I will have more to write tomorrow!
