May

Well, May has been a whirlwind of a month! The first weekend of May Chris' cousin Josh was married in Ft. Worth. We have found that it is getting harder to travel with 2 kids one of which is little miss wiggle worm (AKA Kenna). She is all over the place now. The kids were pretty good during the wedding. Kenna tends to get noisy 30 minutes into something, but at least it's 30 minutes. Kalin loved getting to play with her cousins Gracie and Peyton. They were all over that dance floor showing the adults what to do!
Mothers day weekend was great. Mom came down on Thursday. She spent the rest of the day in my classroom. Then the kids got to spend Friday at home with Grammy. Saturday we celebrated Kalin's birthday with Grammy and Papa. She got a scooter, and loved it! Sunday Chris gave me 2 trees for the backyard for a mother's day gift. What a great gift! But instead of relaxing we worked our tails off getting those trees in. But they look great!
The 20th we had Kalin's birthday party. It was wonderful! She had some of her friends over and they played in the backyard. It was nice and relaxing.
Memorial Day weekend we went to Rusty's graduation! Way to go RUSTY!!! Of course, Kenna made it through about 30 minutes. But at least I had company! Chris' cousins Darrin and Christine came down from Kansas with their 3 kids. We had a good time. Kalin had more birthday, great clothes. Kalin, however, was more impressed with her new flip flops. She likes to wear them non-matching.
We are gearing up for June....We have a big trip planned, but you will hear about that later!
Kalin's big news: Kalin had her last day at Ms. Dee's in May. She did try to convince me that now she is 4 and starts school tomorrow. It is going to be a long summer of "tomorrows."
Kenna's big news: She has started walking. She takes off from the furniture and goes as far as she can. Then she sits and claps for herself. She can still crawl a whole lot faster, but she is getting there. Oh ya, and did I mention she gets into everything (that is kleenex in the picture)?
